AI POLICY

The Journal of Clinical Prosthodontics and Implantology (J-CPI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of research integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). While AI technologies can assist in manuscript preparation, they must be used responsibly and ethically. Authors remain fully accountable for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all submitted work, regardless of whether AI tools were used during its preparation.

Responsible Use of AI

Authors may use AI-assisted tools for language editing, grammar correction, formatting, or improving the clarity of their manuscripts. However, AI tools must not be used to generate, manipulate, fabricate, or falsify scientific data, research findings, images, references, or conclusions.

Disclosure of AI Use

Any significant use of AI in the preparation of a manuscript must be clearly disclosed in the Acknowledgements or an appropriate section of the manuscript. The disclosure should include the name of the AI tool and a brief description of how it was used. Routine language editing that does not influence the scientific content generally does not require disclosure.

Authorship and Accountability

Artificial Intelligence tools cannot be credited as authors or co-authors because they cannot accept responsibility for the content, approve the final manuscript, or meet established authorship criteria. Only human authors who satisfy the journal's authorship requirements may be listed as authors and are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and ethical compliance of the manuscript.

Editorial and Peer Review

Editors and reviewers may use AI tools for limited language or administrative assistance, provided that manuscript confidentiality is strictly maintained. Confidential manuscript content must not be uploaded to AI platforms that may store, reuse, or disclose submitted material. All editorial evaluations, peer-review decisions, and publication decisions are made solely by qualified human editors and reviewers.

Ethical Standards

The use of AI must comply with the journal's policies on publication ethics and research integrity. AI must not be used to produce plagiarized content, fabricate or manipulate research data, create misleading images, generate false references, or engage in any form of academic misconduct. Any violation of these principles may result in manuscript rejection, retraction, or other corrective actions in accordance with the journal's editorial policies.
